Our Global Commitment to Education
Since 2001, Mission Bambini has been working alongside local partners to ensure access to quality education for children and young people living in vulnerable contexts. Over the years, we have learned that collaboration and mutual support are essential to responding effectively to educational challenges.
From this awareness, the LEARN Network was created. A global educational network that brings together Mission Bambini and its partner organizations, united by a shared vision and a common commitment to protecting the right to education.
LEARN works to ensure that children who are excluded from education, either temporarily or permanently, can access learning opportunities. The Network operates in contexts affected by conflict, forced displacement and social, cultural, religious or gender related barriers that prevent children from attending school. Particular attention is dedicated to girls’ education, through initiatives such as the multi country “BORSE ROSA program”.
Today, the LEARN Network brings together partner organizations operating in 12 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America, coordinated by Mission Bambini. Each project is designed together with local partners and responds to the specific needs of the communities involved.
Education within LEARN is understood in a holistic sense. Alongside access to schooling, projects promote children’s overall wellbeing, including nutrition, health and psychological support, and actively involve families and local communities in educational pathways.
The Network also supports partner organizations through training, capacity building and shared learning opportunities, strengthening their ability to deliver quality education over time. This approach helps build stronger, more inclusive and sustainable education systems.
